For those who can look past Siri for the gimmick that it is, will find a much more powerful, well supported and intuative phone with the Samsung Galaxy S3.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 was launched on the 31st of May, 2012 in Australia on multiple phone carriers. Of note, Optus, Vodafone, Virgin and Telstra all carry the Samsung Galaxy S3 whilst other third party importers like Kogan, Mobicity et al have been offering phones for a longer period of time.
There are a limited number of stores offer pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S3 – a few of which you can find below although please be aware that any mobile phone carriers offering Samsung Galaxy S3 plans have no official release date just yet…..

You can pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S3 via Amazon directly from Samsung Electronics which is great if you only trust your phones direct from the manufacturer (this will also cut out middleman fees). The prices start at $739AUD and increase about $80 – $100 for each advanced model going upwards.

They also have the 32GB / 64GB versions in both black and white. You can expect to pay on average an extra $100AUD going up each higher hard drive capacity.

If I buy the phone from a UK company that ship it over here (australia) will it work on a telstra sim?
Hi Greg, it really depends on what model you buy.
It must be compatible with our mobile phone networks over here.
I would check into this by calling up your Telstra provider.
An unlocked version will work any where
@Asaf, yes it will but it depends on what frequency it can operate on. Some phones can only work in certain parts of the world by design.

I am basing my estimates on New Zealand release date and other local markets.
