After the successful launch of Samsung Galaxy S3 in London, this is one phone that is generating a lot of buzz in the tech world. According to the recent reports, Samsung Electronics have acquired 9 million pre-orders of Samsung Galaxy S3 handsets straight from consumers – this number is still growing too!

This has created history by breaking the record of last year’s much awaited phone, iPhone 4S, which has pre-orders of 4 million handsets – this is surely telling of Samsung’s future dominance? The enormous margin of 5 million orders over it’s nearest competitor is sufficient enough to prove the curiosity among the people to switch over from Apple’s walled garden to Android’s open model. This can only be a good thing for the future of mobile phones.

You can pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S3 via Amazon directly from Samsung Electronics which is great if you only trust your phones direct from the manufacturer (this will also cut out middleman fees). The prices start at $739AUD and increase about $80 – $100 for each advanced model going upwards.

Can’t beat the prices that Amazon have!

Kogan are currently offering the 16GB Galaxy S3 unlocked to all networks for a price of $789.00 + GST which is a very competitive offer from them. They also have the 32GB / 64GB versions in both black and white. You can expect to pay on average an extra $100AUD going up each higher hard drive capacity.

People who pre-ordered the fancy new Samsung Galaxy S3 from specific stores in the United Kingdom have a fantastic treat in store for them when they can lay their hands on the device one day ahead of its official launch. Samsung has confirmed that this coveted new smartphone will be launched on the 30th of May in the United Kingdom and certain other countries in Europe. It will be launched in Asia, the Middle East and Africa after that. The company has not set a date for a launch in the United States, merely saying that it will be in the summer.

Customers who pre-ordered this Android phone the Samsung store in London’s Westfield Shopping Centre can pick it up at 6pm on the 29th of May. People who pre-ordered it through other Samsung retailers and not just through the Samsung Brand Store won’t have to wait too long either since they can pick up the coveted Android Ice-cream Sandwich smartphones by 7pm on the same day.

In the words of Simon Stanford, Vice President of Telecommunications and Networks for Samsung UK, “We’ve had an overwhelming response from our retail partners and customers alike since announcing the Galaxy S III on 3 May. So we wanted to delight our customers and reward them for pre-ordering by letting them get their hands on the device a day before anyone else,”

Customers can buy the Samsung Galaxy S3 directly from the company for £499. They can also place pre-orders on the Vodafone, O2 and Three networks at very attractive packages including SIM cards.

Fans of Android phones have a lot to look forward to in the Samsung Galaxy S3. This stunning new phone has all it takes to give the soon to be launched iPhone 5 a run for its
money. Being considerably larger than the Galaxy S2 (the S3 measures 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6mm whereas the S2 weighs in at 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.49mm), the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a lot of similarities with the Galaxy Note.
